On-Time Arrival Your moving crew will arrive within your scheduled arrival window, on time and ready to work. We respect that your time is valuable, so punctuality is a key part of our service model. We will communicate with you immediately if unforeseen circumstances such as weather conditions or traffic situations cause a delay.
Uniformed, Professional Moving Crew Elite Relocation Services uniforms are worn by all of our movers. They will arrive clean, alert, freindly and ready to get your move underway. All Elite movers go through both in-house and hands-on training. This includes safe lifting/maneuvering tactics, pad-wrapping methods and proper packing techniques. Our conscientious crews are efficient, work well together and treat your belongings and your home with respect, courtesy and care, so you'll feel confident every step of the way.
Well Equipped & Maintained Moving Trucks Our movers will arrive at your home with clean, fully outfitted moving trucks, including walk-boards specifically designed for safety and efficiency. Every truck is equipped with high quality, commercial grade hand trucks, moving blankets, straps, bands, mattress bags, carpet mask, tools, materials and more. From heavy furniture, safes and appliances to delicate antiques and artwork, we come prepared with the proper equipment. Our trucks are cleaned and organized after every job, inspected daily and washed on a regular basis.
Initial Walkthrough When the crew arrives, your lead mover will go over the initial paperwork with you and then complete a walkthrough with you and the crew to confirm what's to be moved, what’s not to be moved and review any items that require special handling or care. This is the perfect time to point out fragile items, furniture that needs disassembly or any important instructions. The lead mover will strategize a plan to ensure everything runs efficiently and smoothly on move day.
Home Protection After the walkthrough, the moving crew will prepare your home for moving. Before they begin moving items, they will protect doorways, high traffic area floors and banisters using padded door jamb covers, floor runners and carpet mask (available for purchase when needed). These precautions help prevent scratches, scuffs and dirt buildup. In Oregon, moving is often messy work, but we make every effort to leave your home clean and undamaged.
Furniture Disassembly & Reassembly Our movers have the tools and can perform basic furniture disassembly and reassembly, such as bed frames, tables, dressers with mirrors and desks. At your new home, we reassemble items and place them exactly where you want. If your items are going into storage or you wish to reassemble them on your own, our crew will create a parts-box for you that will include all of the parts wrapped and labeled for your convenience.
Loading the Truck When your home is prepared, the movers will begin professionally pad and/or shrink wrapping your furniture, organizing your boxes and miscellaneous items and loading your belongings into the moving truck(s). We work as efficiently as possible without sacrificing care. Furniture is protected before leaving your home and both boxes and furniture are stacked strategically in the truck for stability and space optimization, ensuring safe transport. If a crew member notices damage to furniture or boxes prior to removing them from your home, they will document it and bring it to your attention.
Second Walkthrough Confirmation Once the truck is loaded, your lead mover will walk through the home with you to confirm that everything intended for the move has been loaded. This gives you a chance to check closets, garages, attics and overlooked spaces. After confirming that all intended items have been loaded for the move, the truck is secured and prepared for transport.
Clear, Timely Communication Your driver / crew lead will keep you informed throughout the move so you always know what’s happening. If there are delays in anticipated travel time or any changes arise such as the need for additional labor or materials, we will discuss them with you in a timely manner so you know what to expect. Our goal is to provide you with a stress-free and smooth experience - one where you are fully aware of what is happening every step of the way.
Unloading the Truck & Placing Items Unloading the moving truck at your new home or into storage is just as organized and careful as loading. It is highly suggested that you map out your spaces and mark boxes in advance. Furniture will be placed according to your instructions, boxes will be delivered to the correct rooms based on labels and reassembly will be completed as requested. The crew can make adjustments in placing, if you wish, so everything feels just right.
Final Walkthrough & Satisfaction Check Once unloading is complete, your lead mover conducts a final walkthrough with you to confirm everything meets your expectations. This is your opportunity to request adjustments, ask questions and inspect that your items have been placed properly and are safe and sound. Your satisfaction is paramount to us! The lead mover will go over the final paperwork and collect payment.
